Comunidade Mocambicana de Ajuda (CMA) which literally means Mozambican Community for Help is a non-profit, non-governmental organization active since 1997.

We place special focus on working alongside most vulnerable people through community based initiatives, improve income, advocate for rights, protect natural resources, promote sustainable agriculture, empower women and help people rebuild their lives.

Mission:

Our mission is to build capacities of the vulnerable population promoting social economic development to uplift their lives.

PROGRAMS:

Sustainable agriculture and environment

• Capacity building for farmers and farmers associations
• Promoting improved techniques for sustainable agriculture practices
• Creation of small livestock
• Promotion of conservation agriculture
• Reforestation and planting fruit trees
• Advocacy and dissemination of Land Use Policies

Education and Vocational Training

• Vocation training courses in: auto mechanics, electricity, refrigeration, air conditioning, human resource management, and sewing
• Building primary schools

Health: HIV AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis

• HIV awareness and prevention campaigns
• Awareness home visits and home based care to support PLHIV and OVC
• Support for orphans and vulnerable children and capacity building for the families carers to ensure psychosocial support for OVC they are taken care of
• Facilitating income generating activities for families cares of OVC
• Capacity building of community leaders for improving the health local services
• Health fair for HIV prevention and voluntary testing
