Foster Grandparent Program of Greater Waterbury & the Central Naugatuck Valley
Missão
Sobre Nós
The Foster Grandparent Program activities are focused primarily in the City of Waterbury and the Central Naugatuck Valley in the communities where program volunteers reside and where the greatest need exists for their services.
Foster Grandparents are volunteers age 55 or older with limited income. Foster Grandparents provide supportive services to children with special physical, mental, or emotional needs through tutoring, reading, helping with a craft, assisting with a meal, acting as a role model, and more in a classroom or child-centered program.
If you do not qualify under the income guidelines, currently $12,880 for a one-person household, please consider volunteering with a local RSVP (Retired Seniors Volunteer Program) which has several child-centered programs without the qualifying income limit for volunteers.
