Work America is a (501-C-3) non-profit corporation founded by Herbert J. Coleman, MSE in Miami, Florida in 1994. Work America's mission is three-fold:
1. To provide educational opportunities to children who reside in economically challenged communities by developing and managing Charter elementary and middle schools.
2. To provide educational forums, workshops, seminars and outreach services to adult residents who reside in Dade County that foster Healthy Living for the purpose of minimizing catastrophic illnesses that current exist i.e., hypertension, stroke, cancer, sexually communicable diseases, diabetes, and obesity.
3. To encourage and foster the development of economic opportunities (business development/expansion and entrepreneurial-ship, especially within inner-city communities).
