    Sobre Nós

The Court Appointed Special Advocate program is a national support program for abused and neglected children involved in judicial proceedings. It has been reported that nearly 400,000 children are removed from their families and placed in foster care each year. The CASA program is designed to promote and protect the chldren's best interests and to advocate for a safe and permanent home. CASA achieves its goal by appointing community volunteers to gather relevant information about the child's case and make recommendatinos to the judge. Recent research has indicated that children assigned to a CASA volunteer are more likely to spend less time in the court system and receive permanent placement. The CASA program is represented in 50 states and operating in nearly 600 courts.
