Sierra Club of Pittsburgh

The Sierra Club is working throughout Pennsylvania to move the state beyond coal and toward renewable energy sources. We work to address public health, environmental, and economic issues that currently affect communities throughout our state as a result of our use of coal. Our goal is to create a future where we can live free of the negative impacts of the coal industry through education, advocacy and other efforts. The ideal candidate will be able to work with others, but also be self-directed. This is a great hands-on experience for those interested in environmental studies, communications, political science, grassroots organizing, and/or non-profit management. Interns will receive training in grassroots organizing, office management, media engagement, and database entry.
