HUNE empowers mainly Hispanic parents and professionals so that they can obtain Free Appropriate Public Education for children with disabilities. HUNE accomplishes this mission by providing bilingual training programs on all aspects of Special Education and Supports, including Transition Services.
HUNE also has an advocate who acts as a liaison between the child's family and the child's school. Technical and Individual service is also provided to families. HUNE also provides translation services to families who speak Spanish as their primary language.
Furthermore, HUNE has a Bilingual (Spanish and English) Special Education Helpline that parents and professionals can call if they have questions about special education. The number is 215-425-5112
