STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)education enhances many skills in youth: creativity, critical thinking,problem solving and logistics, to name a few. Young children with a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics will go on to play an integral role in our nation’s global competitiveness and economic stability."** The percentage of women and minorities that are employed in STEM fields is disproportionately low. As our communities attempt to grow and evolve, this issue must be recognized and addressed.
