Burroughs is committed to building a successful community that celebrates diversity, acts inclusively and works intentionally to create opportunities that reduce barriers for all its members to achieve success.

For over 20 years, Burroughs has served individual residents, community organization and local providers in the greater Bridgeport area. Today, Burroughs program and service activities focus primarily on creating opportunities that advance education, civic engagement, employment/ financial readiness, and develop English language skills.

Through its partnership model, Burroughs leverages existing resources and expertise in our community and provide opportunities that bridge far wider resource gaps than could be otherwise addressed by working independently. Instead of adding to the growing list of overlapping services and programs, this model delivers higher quality services, is more sustainable, cost effective and responsive to community priorities
