The mission of Communities In Schools of North Texas is surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Working in 7 school districts across 3 counties, our evidence-based model connects students to caring adults and community resources to transform how they see and experience the world around them. By surrounding them with a network of trust they can turn to no matter where they are in their journey, we empower students to confront and overcome personal challenges and structural barriers-so they can take charge of the future they want for themselves, their communities and each other.

CISNT believes that every child needs and deserves five basic things:

1. A one-to-one relationship with a caring adult.
2. A safe place to learn and grow.
3. A healthy start and a healthy future.
4. A marketable skill to use upon graduation.
5. A chance to give back to peers and community.

These five core tenets are the foundation of all of our work.
