Arts Healing Hearts

Our mission statement: Arts Healing Hearts, Inc. provides hope and healing to children in crisis through community-based creative arts programs. We seek to soften life's blows and engage the power of human resiliency with art.

We began our work as a response to the devastation caused on our beloved coastline by Hurricane Sandy. We have have had "boots on the ground" for four weeks now, with our pilot program, Saturday Arts. We serve 20 children in Union Beach, NJ, a community that suffered great loss. The kids and their parents are loving the program--we have had an overwhelmingly positive response to the very special art projects we have designed. Our projects are strength- based and collaborative- kids are enjoying their individual expressions of creativity along with working together to create group works of art.
