Excel Bridgeport

Founded in 2011, Excel Bridgeport is a community organizing-based nonprofit organization dedicated to building a movement for transformational school change in Bridgeport, Connecticut's lowest-performing public school district. Excel works to empower parents, students and community members to organize in support of better schools for all Bridgeport children. Our innovative approach to parent engagement has led to policy victories impacting the 20,000 students in Bridgeport Public Schools and has been featured in Education Week. Our growing network of 1,500 education advocates is united by the belief that all children in Bridgeport can achieve at high levels and deserve the opportunity for a world-class education.
