Sci Academy was one of the first public charter high schools in New Orleans charged with closing the achievement gap in just a few short years. In 2008, Sci Academy's first class of students entered more than four grades behind in reading and math. Within two years, Sci Academy became the highest performing open-enrollment high school in New Orleans. Today they are all on or above grade level, have passed their high school exit exams, and are applying to college. They spend their time in rigorous classes including the 6 AP courses we offer, in advanced seminars, and traveling on college visits.
