The Appleton A Better Chance (ABC) program provides academically talented minority students with an opportunity for education, guidance and personal development. The mission of ABC is to increase substantially the number of well-educated young people of color who are capable of assuming positions of responsibility and leadership in American society. Students from across the country can apply to live and attend public school in Appleton. They live together, under the supervision of a full-time Resident Director, in a house on the Lawrence University Campus.
