Teach Our Children

Teach Our Children is a start-up non-profit dedicated to ending the cycle of sexual abuse in the Jewish community. We train groups of mothers on how to prevent and respond to child sexual abuse and become activists within their own communities. The Teach Our Children Mothers Training Program is a 4-session empowerment, education, and activism program through which small groups of mothers come to home-based training sessions on different dynamics of sexual abuse. Each week a therapist presents on two of 8 topics, such as Signs & Symptoms of Abuse, Intra-Family Abuse, and Criminal Justice System Information. At the end of the 4 sessions, mothers are invited and encouraged to become part of activism groups, mobilizing to enact concrete changes locally and nationally to end the cycle of child sexual abuse.
