Center for Native Education

Sobre Nós

In 2002, the Center for Native Education began operations with a vision: make college going the norm for Native peoples within a single generation.

Native students have the highest high school drop-out rates and the lowest college completion rates of any group in the United States.

Through innovative programming such as the Early College High School Initiative, the New Path Program and Making College the Norm, the Center for Native Education is raising educational hopes and results.

At early college high schools around the country, students take college classes during their high school years in a setting that honors their cultural heritage. Because of New Path, educational opportunity is available to multiple generations of Native Americans. And Making College the Norm allows a coalition of postsecondary institutions serve the Native community in new ways.

The Center for Native Education also provides consulting services and technical assistance to Native educators throughout the country. ©2007 All Rights Reserved | Center for Native Education |
