Center for Preventing Hate

OUR MISSION The Center for the Prevention of Hate Violence works with young people and adults to prevent and respond to bias, harassment, and violence, by providing training, education, and advocacy in schools, agencies, organizations and communities. PREVENTING HATE VIOLENCE Hate violence begins when hurtful words, jokes and slurs are tolerated. Where this kind of language is allowed, hateful actions and crimes often follow. The Center for the Prevention of Hate Violence is transforming communities by giving young people the skills and confidence to interrupt hateful, hurtful language, instead creating respect and understanding.
