Sobre Nós

McLean Project for the Arts is a nonprofit visual arts center dedicated to exhibiting, educating and inspiring by bringing museum-quality contemporary art and arts education to greater Washington DC and particularly Northern Virginia. For 55 years, MPA’s mission has been to exhibit work by emerging and established mid-Atlantic region artists, promote public awareness and understanding of contemporary art concepts, and offer instruction and education in the visual arts.

The breadth and depth of MPA’s programs is unique in Northern Virginia. MPA serves a diverse audience with 12-18 professionally curated contemporary art exhibitions annually along with Youth Art and MPA Student shows. MPA presents a full calendar of lectures and special events, including MPAartfest, a free annual outdoor juried art festival attended by ~10,000 area residents.

MPA is an arts education leader and innovator—the region’s first nonprofit visual arts organization to target at-risk schools and link the Standards of Learning (SOLs) to school tours. We now serve up to 5,000 students, seniors and individuals with special needs each year.

Our staff is a committed group of high-performing, fun and engaged professionals. We provide paid vacation, access to health care including, medical, vision and dental insurance plans, as well as the opportunity for you to save via 401(k) program.
