Arizona Opera

Arizona Opera is a professional opera company, which presents fully-staged opera productions, an in-school touring production, and numerous outreach events. Founded in 1971 in Tucson, the company has grown to become one of the few companies in the United States to serve multiple cities. Arizona Opera has a major presence in both Tucson and Phoenix and maintains fully-staffed offices in both cities, presenting artists of international stature as well as the company’s acclaimed orchestra and chorus, and producing a five-opera season-offering two and four performances each in Tucson and Phoenix, respectively. Arizona Opera administers a comprehensive educational program that serves current and future audiences of all ages. Under the artistic leadership of Joel Revzen, Arizona Opera is recognized for its artistic excellence and its strong commitment to its audiences and the Arizona community at large.
