ALFA Educational Society is a youth based and youth led organization. It has been working in the Kherwara Block of Udaipur District in southern Rajasthan since its inception in 2006. The block is comprised of largely tribal people with Hindu and Muslim communities also well represented. The areas of intervention of the organization include Peace and Harmony, Gender Equality, Quality Education and Youth Development.
ALFA believes that it is crucial to recognize the youth as autonomous change agents who have the energy, passion and creativity to make a difference to society. It is thought that through educating and empowering the young, they will gain the potential to change not just their lives but the whole community.
