Amurt is a social and humanitarian organisation that aims to improve the quality of life of people around the world through:

1. Disaster relief
2. Permanent relief projects to help individuals and communities in need, the disadvantaged and the disabled.

Child Sponsorship Programme: Through our child sponsorship programme we are helping over 150 disadvantaged children in India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Africa to get a better education. More children are waiting for our help! Do you know anyone who could help out?

Volunteer programme: We are sending volunteers to projects in India and Nepal. If you're interested in learning about a new culture from the inside while sharing your skills, do get in touch!

3. Social development:

Local volunteers to help bring about social change in Portugal: We are searching for volunteers who would like to help us in our efforts to develop a spiritual community in a depopulated hamlet in the valleys of the beautiful Serra da Estrela. The work is mainly physical, helping with the berry and cherry plants and gardens, but we occasionally also need volunteers with management and social media skills.
