VALLEY AIDS INFORMATION NETWORK, INC. (VAIN) IS A COMMUNITY BASED HIV/AIDS ORGANIZATION SERVING LINN AND BENTON COUNTIES IN OREGON. OUR MISSION IS TWO-FOLD: To prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and hepatitis-C by providing community education programs -and- To provide support to persons living with HIV/AIDS, their families and caregivers.

VAIN is a wonderful organization that has been around since 1989. We were the first organization of this kind in our area during a time when so much was not known about AIDS. We deeply care for our community and the people in it. We also care for those infected with or affected by HIV/AIDS. This disease is still very prevalent in the world and the United States. Our goal is to raise awareness of this growing issue and help to educate the members of our community and our nation, this includes children.

As a volunteer you can expect to be a part of a great team that helps in planning community fundraising events, takes part in speaking events, and participates in informational tabling events. There are excellent opportunities to learn and grow in this organization. We want to help you succeed and we feel that this can be a win win situation.
