ICYE

The ICYE Federation is an international, independent, non-profit organisation with 34 National Committees and several partners in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America.

ICYE mission is to promote youth mobility and international understanding through long-term ( 6 to 12 months) and short-term (2 to 16 weeks) voluntary service exchange programmes. The ICYE programme is founded on principles of global education and intercultural learning, and provides social volunteer service as well as other types of informal educational opportunities. Voluntary work placements are provided in community development projects working with children, elderly, disabled, environmental protection and education, heath care, youth clubs/centres, etc.

Every year ICYE members also organise work and eco-camps, as wells as thematic and training seminars on intercultural education, sustainable development and gender issues.
