WorldTeach was founded in 1986 by a group of college students seeking to promote education at the local level in places that lack teachers and educational resources. We now send 400 volunteers each year to local schools and host communities in developing countries around the world. Since inception, we have placed over 7,000 volunteers in 28 countries, providing them with the teacher training, language preparation and field support, necessary to create lasting impact on the communities they work with.
