Manengkel Solidaritas is a grassroots NGO based in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, founded with the vision of empowering local communities through environmental conservation and sustainable development. Since its establishment, our organization has focused on protecting marine and coastal ecosystems, such as mangroves and coral reefs, while promoting eco-friendly tourism and strengthening community resilience.
Our key programs include mangrove and coral reef restoration, environmental education for youth and schools, capacity-building for local communities, biodiversity monitoring, and tree-planting in watershed and conservation areas. We have worked closely with schools, fishermen groups, local governments, and international volunteers to build awareness and implement impactful programs.
Our achievements include the development of a community-based Mangrove Park, coral transplantation initiatives, the establishment of a school for fisherfolk’s children (Sei Pantai), and the creation of sustainable tourism villages across the region. We are passionate about creating change through collaboration and hands-on action, and we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds to be part of our mission.
