Running for a Better Oakland strives to build a welcoming, healthy and prosperous community by empowering Oakland students from kindergarten to 12th grade to set and attain long-distance running goals. We do that by helping students create relationships with mentors and coaches to develop trust and self-esteem through the discipline and rigor of a structured running program.
