    Our Mission

    Our mission is to provide the highest quality of educational opportunities to the adults of our community to facilitate further education, training, and better employment to improve the quality of life for individuals, families, and the community as a whole.

    History of the Program

    The Jackson/Mann Community Center is a community-based non-profit service agency incorporated in 1976 to provide educational, cultural, social, recreational and community services to moderate and low-income residents of Allston-Brighton, ages 2.9 to older adulthood.

    Funding

    The Jackson Mann Adult Education Program receives funding from:

    • The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
    • Private donors and foundations
    • Fundraising Events
    • Former students

    Jackson Mann Adult Education Programs

    • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
    • Preparation for the High School Equivalency Test (Hi-SET) and GED
    • Distance Learning ESOL

     JMCC Students

    • 200 students come to the JMCC Adult Education Program each year. 
    • We have students from all over the world
    • Ages 20 to 50+ years old
