Hands On Athens

Hands On Athens (HOA) is a program of the Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation, a non-profit historic preservation advocacy organization. HOA carries out a variety of home repairs, maintenance work and landscape improvements for low-income homeowners in several of Athens' older neighborhoods. The program is supported by a Community Development Block Grant through Athens-Clarke County (Housing and Community Development), local contributors and in-kind donations. Nearly all of HOA's work is completed by volunteers and we depend on the generosity of local builders and contractors to guide the work of semi-skilled and unskilled volunteers. Projects are planned throughout the year and we especially like to team up with various clubs, groups and organizations looking for volunteer service opportunities.
