First Steps Child Care Center The First Steps Childcare Center (FS) is our bilingual (English-Spanish) early-childhood development program that aims to help pre-schoolers (ages 2-5):

•Be leaders with strong moral character •Manage their conflicts non-violently •Become avid readers •Make effective transitions to formal schooling •Physically fit, arts-oriented, and nutritionally responsible •Be positive members of their family •Be interested in their communities •Mentor their peers or younger individuals

We seek to develop strong, independent, articulate pre-schoolers who legitimately represent and are accountable to their families and communities. The pre-schoolers develop a greater sense of self, and serve as resources to their peers and communities.
