Mission: To prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes

The ADA funds research of type 1, type 2 and other forms of diabetes, provides education and support to people with diabetes and caregivers, advocates for health care coverage and the rights of people with diabetes, and runs children's programs, including diabetes camps.
