Encore’s mission is to build local capacity through NGOs and similar institutions throughout the developing world to enable significant social and economic change, without long-term reliance on expatriate expertise. Encore’s board, staff and talent pool is comprised of nearly 2,000 former Peace Corps Volunteers, Peace Corps staff, and other professionals with similar overseas development experience.
