The Doorways
Missão
In operation since 1985, The Doorways mission to to provide lodging and support for patients and their loved ones who need to be close to the hospital but not far from the feeling of home. As one of the largest hospitality houses in the country, we serve close to 10,000 guests every year from around Virginia and around the world. We are proud to be a critical partner to local hospitals in support of guaranteeing high quality medical care access to all people.
Sobre Nós
As one of the largest hospitality houses in the country, we are always looking for volunteers to help us maintain a home like environment for our 9,000 annual guests. Those we serve are traveling to Richmond to seek medical treatment not available in their home communities and we strive to remove those barriers and create a home away from home for them here. Volunteer opportunities range from serving meals to guests, to helping organize and sort donations, to cleaning around the house, working at the Front Desk and more. Opportunities will vary, but we are always willing to work with individuals and groups of any size and age. See our website and Facebook page for more information.
