Myndz Community

Myndz Community is a Nairobi based CBO, that strives to employ Media for Development that incorporates sensitization and civic education utilizing creative art mediums such as photography, video, film, design, literature, sound, and theatre.

Myndz Community has been an entity in operation since 2002 and came about by gathering like-minded creatives and activists in Windhoek, Namibia. In 2015, Myndz Community was registered as a Community Based Organisation, ref: STA/CBO/5/4/2015/016 under the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Services of the Republic of Kenya. 

Members of Myndz Community come from all walks of life and are a blend of both genders and a wide range of age-sets from 18 yrs - 50 yrs.

Program areas:

1. Training and Consultation for Media Production and Strategic Communication

2. Media Coverage/Documentation and Transmission of the Arts and Culture Industries

3. Promotion/Support of civil society initiatives through media production

4. Promotion/Support of start-ups/entrepreneurs through media production.  

Overall, we emphasize the creation and promotion of sustainable media throughout Africa while forming local and international partnerships premised on capacity building initiatives for the advancement of culture, education, the arts and social well being.
