Kanyanya sub-parish was started in 1913 by the late Maria Kyekobane. It is a Catholic community under Kampala Archdiocese. The Sub Parish is currently lead by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Lutaaya. I has a population of approximately 9500 people . It is giving social development services such education regardless of religious affiliaton. Looking after the eldery , orpahns , street children and community outreach programs especially to the people affected and infected by HIV/AIDS and other related human diseases.
