Safe Families for Children Austin

Safe Families for Children hosts children and creates extended family-like support for isolated parents with nowhere else to turn through a community of devoted volunteers motivated to keep children safe and families together.

At Safe Families For Children we believe that families in crisis need community, not more services. Our volunteer driven community is motivated by radical hospitality, disruptive generosity, and intentional compassion. We are creating a world where children are safe, and families are together.

We surround families in crisis with a Circle of Support which includes:

1. Family Coach: Helps set goals and manages the support team
2. Family Friend: Offers friendship and emotional support
3. Host Family: Provides temporary childcare in their home, both daytime and overnight care.

Safe Families for Children serves families who need support due to a crisis- whether this is homelessness, single mothers, or emergency hospitalizations
