The Northbrook Symphony Orchestra’s mission is to provide high-quality programs of symphonic music that enrich our listeners’ lives and engage the next generation of audiences.
Sobre Nós
The Northbrook Symphony Orchestra (NSO) in Illinois has presented classical music concerts continually since 1980. We are a professional orchestra, with our season running from October to June and consisting of 5-6 concerts per season. Today the NSO reaches all ages and specifically aims to reach younger audiences by providing complimentary tickets for youth and partnering with schools. The Orchestra works with area schools and organizations, intentionally reaching out to under resourced communities, to bring students to concerts. To ensure that there are no financial barriers to youth learning to play an instrument, the NSO collects musical instruments and provides them to schools.
