ReadyStart is a non-profit organization that invests its resources to ensure that all children who reside in Collin, Denton and Wise Counties in Texas are prepared to start school fully ready to learn. ReadyStart has chosen to focus on the first five years of life because they are critically important to a child's success in school and later life. Early experiences during this time influence the brain in a way that sets the foundation for language development, reasoning, problem solving, social skills, behavior and good emotional health.
