Despite speaking English becoming more and more important on the Cameroonian job market, in the francophone Yaoundé English-speakers are mostly graduates from expensive elite schools. This results in students from low-income backgrounds facing considerable disadvantages when looking for work. In order to fight this injustice Cleverland Foundation founded an anglophone nursery and primary school with very moderate tuition fees, intended to enable every child to obtain a high quality education and equal chances for its future.
Furthermore we are also active in health education. Seeing many HIV and malaria deaths in Cameroon which could have been avoided by education, the Cleverland Foundation conducts sensitization campaigns to raise awareness and encourage the fight against these sicknesses.
