Mahavir Kmina

As a non- profit organisation, recipient of numerous numerous national awards, we aim to provide full rehabilitation to lower limb amputees, which have in many cases been victims of landmines; of the ongoing armed conflict, road accidents or other health related problems. However, Mahavir Kmina´s aims do not limit themselves to a physical rehabilitation, but also to helping patients with psychological and socio-economic recovery.

These efforts were rewarded when in March 2007, Mahavir Kmina signed a Cooperation Agreement with the BMVSS Foundation of Jaipur, India (http://jaipurfoot.org/) which agreed to transfer it´s expertise and technological development, acquired over more than 30 years in its dedication to manufacturing and fitting lower limb prostheses to citizens of India and across Southeast Asia and Africa for free, over here in Colombia.
