The Jack D. Hidary Foundation was initiated in 2001. Its primary aim is to catalyze scalable, self-sustaining programs in economic development. When applied with appropriate parameters for the particular cultural and commercial context, Entrepreneurship and other market forces can move whole communities out of poverty. The foundation also works extensively to encourage clean technology in the energy and transportation sectors.
