Junebug Foundation is dedicated to rescuing vulnerable pets — including medical cases, neonates, and animals in critical transition — and providing the care, stability, and support they need to thrive.

Many of the animals we serve require urgent medical intervention, specialized treatment, or intensive neonatal care such as bottle feeding and round-the-clock support. Others simply need a safe place, proper veterinary oversight, and time to grow.

Through comprehensive medical care, compassionate fostering, and responsible placement, we prepare each pet for a healthy future. Our goal is not just rescue — it is rehabilitation, recovery, and readiness for a successful, lifelong home.

Every donation directly supports diagnostics, surgeries, neonatal supplies, preventive care, and the foster resources that allow these animals to heal and develop. By combining medical expertise with dedicated foster homes, we give pets a true second chance — and adopters the confidence that their new companion has been thoughtfully and responsibly prepared for life beyond rescue.

Junebug Foundation is a California-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer-driven animal rescue dedicated to helping dogs and cats in urgent need—particularly those requiring medical care, neonatal support, or intervention during critical stages of development.

We operate as a foster-based rescue, meaning all animals are placed in private homes rather than a physical shelter. This allows each pet to receive individualized care, socialization, and recovery support in a low-stress environment while preparing for adoption.

While we are known for taking on complex medical cases, we also regularly rescue healthy puppies, kittens, and young animals who need time, structure, and support to grow into stable, adoptable pets. Our goal is not only to save lives, but to ensure long-term success through responsible placement and ongoing education.
