Our mission is to save freshwater turtles by rescuing and rehabilitating injured turtles and inspiring communities to protect turtles and their habitats.
Our two main programs are:
Wildlife rehabilitation with an emphasis on turtles: By rescuing and rehabilitating injured and ill wild native turtles and releasing them back to the wild, we contribute to sustaining mature populations of these key species for healthy wetlands and waterways.
Educational outreach programs: By providing opportunities for the public to learn about and engage with turtles, we cultivate a desire to save turtles and inspire community action for the protection of turtles and their habitats.
And our long-term goal is:
Preserved wetlands and turtle education center: By acquiring and restoring a wetland area, we would provide a sanctuary for non-releasable native and exotic turtles, as well as contributing towards the mitigation of local flooding for community resilience. A dedicated education center would provide opportunities for public engagement beyond our programs and provide a permanent home for our ambassadors.
