Neighborhood Housing Services of Los Angeles County

The purpose of the LA NHS is to improve and restore neighborhoods by promoting reinvestment, providing decent housing that is affordable to low and moderate income persons and promoting economic development, while restoring confidence and pride through the efforts of neighborhood residents in concert with financial institutions, local government, business community and others.

Promotes healthy communities through homeownership. Encourage resident empowerment and leadership. Stimulates the private housing and commercial markets. Encourages community involvement and development. Re-establish positive neighborhood images. Promotes reinvestment in declining older neighborhoods.
