There are over five and a half million people at risk of hunger in Canada today. At the same time, civic engagement among Canadian youth is declining toward record lows. For the past ten years, Meal Exchange (MX£G) has been fighting to address both of these troubling problems by offering students the opportunity to develop hunger solutions. MX£G has built a national network of chapters spanning 45 university and college campuses. To-date, MXƒ´ has initiated a dialogue with over 450,000 students, and has donated the equivalent of 200,000 meals to the hungry throughout Canada.
