Founded in 2009 by Bill Leikam, aka "The Fox Guy," the Urban Wildlife Research Project (UWRP) emerged from a mesmerizing encounter with gray foxes in California's San Francisco Baylands. Witnessing the struggle of wildlife amidst urbanization, UWRP now focuses on the resurgence and habitat needs of these foxes, aiming for their coexistence with urban development. Our mission unfolds through scientific research, preserving Bill's extensive data, community outreach, and advocating for wildlife corridors.
