SUPPORTING OLDER ADULTS THROUGH RESOURCES INC
Missão
SOAR’s mission is to provide financial assistance to older adults in Frederick County to meet their essential needs in a confidential, respectful, and dignified manner. A Human Needs Assessment conducted by the Community Foundation of Frederick County in 2018 determined that the aging population is currently underserved. Key findings in the report include the need for transportation, assistance for aging in place, access to medical providers, and treatment for substance abuse disorders.

Supporting Older Adults Through Resources, Inc. ("SOAR") is a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to serving Frederick County seniors. Seniors are the largest growing population; many live on a fixed and limited income with no hope of increasing that income.
