    About E Pluribus Unum

E Pluribus Unum Fund (EPU) is a social impact organization focused on addressing lasting issues of race and class that continue to divide our communities and weaken our nation’s promise of justice and opportunity for all. Led by former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, E Pluribus Unum envisions and works to build a more inclusive South, animated by the belief that we are better together than we are apart, and that cities and towns will only thrive if residents unite around common purpose through shared responsibility and increased opportunity.

Over the past year, we traveled across the American South, visiting 28 communities across 13 states to learn about how residents experience issues of race, class, community violence, economic opportunity, and equity, and to hear firsthand about the solutions they believe are most promising. Driven by what we heard and learned, E Pluribus Unum will launch a series of programs and initiatives that (1) correct the false narratives that minimize the lasting impact of race on our institutions, (2) cultivate courageous leaders who are committed to realizing an inclusive vision for a new South, and (3) champion transformative policy change to reverse the harms of America’s Jim Crow era for those who continue to experience them.
