Academics Without Borders

The mission of Academics Without Borders is to support developing countries build capacity in higher education by sending experienced professionals and academics on projects to the developing world's institutions of higher education. The AWB volunteers work on projects that originate from its partner institutions of higher education in the developing world, institutions that themselves contribute to the cost of the projects. The goals of the projects are to assist the institutions in improving their research, teaching and operations so that they can better educate the experts and professionals that their societies need for their development. AWB works in the full range of activities in which universities engage, from assisting them introduce new courses to upgrading their registrars offices.
