Soundside Marinelife Rescue Center is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to building Washington’s first rehabilitation hospital exclusively for marine mammals and marine birds. Currently sick, injured and orphaned marine animals have limited, and in many cases, no options for care. The hospital will accept animals from the entire Washington coast and be prepared to assist in the event of a major oil spill. The hospital will also contain a public education center to inspire ocean conservation. Soundside currently is raising funds to build the hospital and is heavily involved in providing public education and conducting an outreach program.
