The School of Unity and Liberation (SOUL) is a school to build a movement. We work to build the social justice movement by raising the capacity of grassroots leaders – young and old—to achieve systemic change. Over the past decade, SOUL has trained thousands of young people from hundreds of organizations across the country in organizing, political analysis, and facilitation. Over the last two years, in consultation with youth and community organizing groups and other allies, we developed a strategic direction to play an intentional role towards intergenerational movement building with membership based groups.
