Sobre Nós

Open Source is public radio talk show broadcast on stations across the country and a blog that operates 24-7. The show is designed to invert the traditional relationship between broadcast and the web: we aren’t a public radio show with a web community, we’re a web community that produces a daily hour of radio. Our goal and daily challenge is to bring interesting fresh content, which may be overlooked by traditional media, from the web to the radio. The show is hosted by veteran public radio journalist Christopher Lydon, former host of NPR's The Connection, and distributed by Public Radio International and XM Satellite Radio. We have about 11,000 daily readers and 150,000 weekly listeners, and do shows and web features about everything from current events in the Middle East to the globalization of hip-hop culture.
